On Level 33 of London's formidable Shard building, Hutong offers the fascinating flavours of northern China. Influenced by the celebrated restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong, the menu is based on dishes served in Peking's imperial palaces, while apothecary cocktails take inspiration from Chinese medicine. A signature dish of crispy, soft-shell crab with Sichuan chilli brings the flavour, while a tangy mango cheesecake served with sesame dumplings and a passionfruit sauce leads the desserts. Aside from framing jaw-dropping views over London, the stunning dining room features hand-carved wood panelling and traditional red lanterns.
