Bleeding Heart Restaurant

Listed in the Hardens, Square Meal, Via Michelin and Good Food Guides, Bleeding Heart is an elegant French restaurant in the City of London, renowned for being the most romantic dining destination in the City, as well as a fine venue for business lunches. Held in high regard by the press and surrounding corporate offices, Bleeding Heart serves stylish modern French food from a seasonally-changing a la carte menu. Chef Richard Sawyer also prepares daily specials based on selected market produce to ensure that even regular guests can anticipate a new choice with each visit, served with the warm and highly professional service that they have come to expect from Bleeding Heart. Set in a historic cobblestoned courtyard, Bleeding Heart also offers a buzzy and busy French bistro with a lively, more informal atmosphere. In addition to a great wine list, the bistro also features a large terrace overlooking the courtyard. The bistro menu presents diners with a number of classic and contemporary dishes, including Omelettes, Coq au Vin and Steak Frites, as well as Breast of Duck and Shank of Lamb. The tavern, a historic English gastro pub dating back to 1746, also serves real ale from Adnams, hearty, rustic Anglo-Saxon food, and a Full English Breakfast in the morning. Famous for its history (Lady Elizabeth Hatton was murdered in the Yard in 1626), Bleeding Heart is also well-known the world over for its award-winning wine list with over 450 to choose from. This extensive selection has been recognised with a Wine Spectator Award for the last 12 years.
