If you’ve ever wanted to cook world class Indian cuisine, the New Year could be your big chance to learn at one of the UK’s leading Michelin starred restaurants.
In 2012, Atul Kochhar is opening the Benares kitchen to guests keen to find out more about his culinary secrets.
During a special masterclass, guests will have a unique and in depth lesson about Indian cooking which will reveal some of the secrets to Atul’s delicately spiced dishes, so they can then create some for themselves.
The masterclass concludes with a meal at Benares and guests will also receive a signed copy of Atul’s cookbook, Fish, Indian Style, as well as some other complimentary gifts.
The classes will run on Sundays, from 9.30am on 22nd January, 18th March, 20th May and 16th September. There is a maximum of 10 people per class, priced at £350 per person. Following the success of the British Asparagus fortnight back in May, Gary Rhodes’ Michelin starred fine dining restaurant, Rhodes W1, is hosting an exclusive Truffle fortnight to celebrate the start of the new season.
The celebratory fortnight will be launched on the 12th October 2010, when Head Chef and Gary Rhodes’ protégé, Paul Welburn, will be treating guests to a fabulous four course menu from just £55.00 per person or seven courses for £75.00 per person.
The delicious menu will include ‘Truffled Jerusalem artichoke soup partridge and chestnut’, “Truffle and pine nut crusted halibut celeriac and confit chicken wing’, ‘Beef Rossini’ and ‘White chocolate custard truffle sorbet’ for dessert.
Commenting on the celebration, Head Chef Paul Welburn said “I worked closely with Gary to design this delightful menu in order to surprise people with something that they wouldn’t necessarily expect. This is going to be our first annual Truffle fortnight and we hope you will enjoy it as much as you enjoyed our British Asparagus menu.”
Michelin starred Rhodes W1 offers fine dining in a sumptuous environment, designed by Kelly Hoppen, the restaurant has beautiful antique mirrors draped in plush velvet, stunning Spina crystal chandeliers and original French chairs, quirkily printed with some of Gary’s own handwritten recipes. The regular menu features classic British cuisine with a modern European twist, so guests can enjoy award winning food in a luxurious setting.
