Love is in the air…

It’s hard to know where to head in London for a romantic meal for two, so with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, we’ve done a quick trawl of what’s on offer at a handful of restaurants in the capital.

Valentine’s value in the West End

Bistro 1 offers a vibrant bistro environment, with a Mediterranean style menu and for lovers on a budget, it will be hard to beat their Valentine’s Day value this year.

With a choice of three restaurant locations on either Frith Street, Brewer Street or Beak Street each Bistro 1 venue has a Valentine’s special romantic candlelit dinner on February 14th with 2 courses for £15.50 per person or 3 Courses for £17.50 person.

Chic Parisian style meal appeal

Inspired by some of the fabulous Parisian brasseries such as Le Couple and Lipp, Le Bouchon Breton is in the rejuvenated Spitalfields Market on the fringe of the City.  With a Champagne Bar and an impressively huge dining area – with over 200 covers – it’s got everything for a night out and the menu offers a range of classic dishes to keep any Francophile happily fed.

On Valentine’s Day, you can romance the night away here for £39 per person for a four course dinner with live music.  You might want to budget for something luscious from their Champagne Bar too if you’re looking to impress ‘the one’.

Cosy up together in Fulham

If you’re withing easy distance of Fulham, you can get cosy with your loved one at My Dining Room the wonderful home from home on the doorstep of Fulham locals.

It’s designed to be the perfect place to socialise, eat and drink in a relaxing and unpretentious venue, so think comfy sofas and roaring fires for a pre dinner drink in the lounge, followed by dinner in the contemporary but homely dining area.

This place is particularly good if you can’t make a special meal on the big day itself, because the Valentine’s Special Menu is available from February 11th to February 14th, with four courses and a glass of champagne for £40 per person.

Romance and luxury

With executive chef Pascal Proyart at the helm, One-O-One is reputed to be one of the finest seafood restaurants in London and has an exquisite range of Breton dishes on the menu, all served in an elegant and stylish Knightsbridge venue.

If you really have found the love of your life, this might be just the place to pop the question, or at least to impress them sufficiently and let the world know you’re a match made in heaven.  Assuming that you both like seafood that is….

The six course Valentine’s menu is available on February 14th for £95 per person, with gourmet courses such as Cured Seabass and Vanilla Olive Oil and Roasted White Halibut with Langoustine Dumpling.

There are plenty more Valentine’s deal too –  check out the full range of restaurants in London with Valentine’s Day offers.

If you’re looking for restaurants outside London for the big day, check back in a day or two, as we’ll be doing a round up of offerings for other cities too.
