The World Curry Festival comes to Leeds

The World Curry Festival will be held in Leeds Millennium Square from 1 – 3 October 2010, bringing a three day celebration of food and culture to the city.

The festival, which is being promoted as the ‘Mardi Gras of all things Curry’ will showcase a wide variety of  international food and drink, with master classes from leading chefs, plus entertainment and many other events.

Michelin starred chef Jean Christophe Novelli and ‘the nearly naked chef’ Hardeep Singh Kohli will be among the celebrity chefs at the event and the public are invited to participate in the many events taking place, such as

The Market Place
A colourful mix of traders selling and demonstrating international food and specialty products; local suppliers selling local produce and accessories.

The Extremely Good Curry Show
A cookery theatre with master classes and demonstrations from some of the UK’s top chefs.

Festival Restaurant and Street Food
Food and drink from around the world with curry from Asia, Africa, America and Europe, everything from street food to fine dining.

The Curry Challenge on the Cooking Bus
A chance to learn how to cook curry, in association with Change 4 Life.
